Marintec China, the largest maritime exhibition in Asia and the second largest in the world, is held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from December 5 to 8 this year. EVE Energy displays a full range of battery products for marine Power, including battery cells, battery packs, battery racks, containerized power supplies, and battery management systems (BMS), as well as four categories of innovative products at the exhibition. Showcasing its advanced technologies and excellent products, EVE Energy hopes to cooperate with all partners in the industry to explore the infinite possibilities of green shipping.
In recent years, driven by the goal of global carbon neutrality, the central and regional governments of China have been vigorously promoting the green and low-carbon development of the transportation industry and have stepped up support for electric ships. Focusing on the shift towards clean energy sources for ships, EVE Energy has developed the containerized mobile ship power supplies, which feature upgraded A60 safety protection, can be used in parallel, and support battery swapping operations. With built-in liquid cooling radiators and standardized interfaces, those products can effectively address various safety risks during battery swapping and charging processes and are compatible with onshore power supply facilities.
During the exhibition, Sun Feng, President of China Classification Society (CCS), Xu Li and Du Haigen, respectively General Manager and Deputy General Manager of CCS Wuhan Branch, have led a delegation to visit EVE Energy’s booth. Mr. Sun presented the latest 2023 “Containerized Mobile Ship Power Supply Model Approval Certificate” to the EVE C-power V1.0 series products. This signifies that the products have gained recognition from an authoritative organization and are qualified for professional applications.
Dr. Yi Haohao, Director of the First Research Institute of EVE Energy, have provided a detailed explanation of containerized mobile ship power supplies and interpreted the products’ design, structure, and configuration, among other features, to demonstrate their advantages in terms of convenience, safety, and comprehensiveness, attracting strong interest from the audience present.
In order to facilitate the application of pure battery power technologies for marine power, EVE Energy has attached great importance to independent design and research. At this exhibition, it has launched two battery packs, one battery rack and two BMS. These innovative products possess advantages such as safety, reliability, flexibility, high efficiency, and convenient operation and maintenance. EVE Energy hopes to promote its green and intelligent products and technologies to drive the high-quality development of the global shipping industry on the new track of green, low-carbon, digitization and economy.
As one of the first Chinese lithium-ion battery manufacturers to enter the shipping industry, EVE Energy has obtained certificates from multiple maritime classification societies, including CCS, DNV, and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), for a complete range of battery products for maritime applications, from battery cells to battery packs and battery systems. Its products cover the majority of maritime applications, such as cruise ships, sightseeing boats, ferries, cargo ships, container ships, offshore aquaculture platforms, and large hybrid vessels for long-distance voyages. As of October 2023, EVE Energy installed its battery products in 447 vessels, equipped over 50% of the electric ships in China with its battery solutions, and registered a cumulative shipment volume of more than 200MWh. EVE Energy’s ship battery systems have found extensive application and gained wide recognition on the market. By virtue of its outstanding performance in the field of marine power, EVE Energy has entered into a strategic partnership with Evnergy Pte Ltd, a global leader in intelligent wind power and energy storage technologies. In the next two years, the two companies will work together to build and retrofit more than 60 new energy vessels in Asia, aiming to jointly promote the development and application of technologies related to electric ships.
In the future, EVE Energy will continue to dedicate itself to independent innovation and research. It will continuously improve its product ecosystem and service network, coordinate resources in the industry to provide global partners with green, safe, and intelligent one-stop solutions for low-carbon shipping, and make unwavering contributions to green shipping.
