EVE Energy Facilitates the Successful Maiden Voyage of the 500-passenger-capacity "Pearl River Jade" — the Largest Night Cruise Ship on the Pearl River!

On the evening of February 2, the "Pearl River Jade" with a passenger capacity of 500 made its maiden voyage from Dashatou Wharf, Guangzhou. As the largest pure electric new energy luxury cruise ship in Guangzhou's Pearl River Night Cruise project, this cruise ship is poised to inject new vitality into water tourism and the development of the Green Pearl River in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The 500-passenger-capacity "Pearl River Jade", with a total length of 55 meters, a molded width of 16 meters, and a molded depth of 3.7 meters, is designed with battery-powered full-rotary contra-rotating propulsion (dual-engine) technology and can reach a maximum speed of 18.5 km/h. This cruise ship is equipped with a battery pack integrated with EVE Energy's LF280K cells, with a cell cycle life exceeding 8,000 cycles, supporting a marine battery system with a life cycle of over 10 years. Leveraging this cell product, EVE can tailor a diverse array of battery solutions featuring varying capacities and voltages to align with customer needs. This approach is instrumental in enabling ships to attain zero carbon emissions, thereby fulfilling the demands of green and low-carbon shipping.

As one of the first Chinese lithium-ion battery manufacturers to enter the shipping industry, EVE Energy has obtained certificates from multiple maritime classification societies, including CCS, DNV, ABS, and BV, for its marine battery products. Such products are suitable for scenic/urban cruise ships, passenger ferries, bulk carriers, container ships, offshore aquaculture platforms, and large hybrid vessels for long-distance voyages. As of December 2023, EVE's battery products were installed in more than 1,000 ships worldwide, and over 50% of China's marine powers were equipped with EVE's battery solutions. With the cumulative ex-factory power amount reaching more than 200 MWh, EVE's ship battery systems have undergone market validation, with good results achieved.

Among cruise ships in the Pearl River Night Cruise project, six pure electric cruise ships have been equipped with EVE's ship batteries, including 280-passenger-capacity Golden Dragon Fish, 160-passenger-capacity Pearl River Princess, 180-passenger-capacity Humen Ferry, 400-passenger-capacity Sanlongwan Blue Dolphin, 402-passenger-capacity Blue Dolphin 23, and 500-passenger-capacity Pearl River Jade.
